Monty Cotton
A few years ago Monty decided it was time for a sea change. After some encouragement from making the top 40 in Australian Idol, Monty left a corporate accountant job in Sydney and set sail to pursue the life of a musician in Western Australia. A few years later, Monty now travels the globe performing his Johnny Cash Show “A Boy Named Cash” which has been featured on The Seven Networks Morning Show, and "The Voice" Australia.
Monty's audience-engaging style and musical versatility has made him one of the most sought after entertainers in Western Australia for weddings, engagement parties, corporate events and various private functions. Covering numerous genres including rock and roll, country, R&B and modern pop, Monty is a top choice for all events and audiences. Monty is also able to tailor packages for each and every stage of your wedding and event, with a DJ option also available.
Monty Cotton is available to be booked in solo, duo, trio and big band formats.

Monty was absolutely fantastic! Highly recommended. We actually tried to keep him for a few extra hours but unfortunately for us he had another act.
Rachael Davies (Engagement Party) – November 2015I just wanted to give you a bit of feedback on Monty yesterday as he was fantastic! Our fashion parade consisted of ladies in their 60’s and 70’s and he was great with interacting with them and getting them to enjoy themselves. We would definitely love to have him at our Centres again.
Elizabeth Evans (Wanneroo Freshfood Markets) – February 2015 Our wedding was incredible, just perfect in every way. Tiffany, I can speak on behalf of my Husband and myself when I say that Monty was magnificent.
Monty took the time to learn our “walking down the aisle” song Tenerife Sea by Ed Sheeran. His arrangement of this song was simply beautiful and his style complemented our day in every way. Our guests commented that during our pre reception drinks. Monty was interactive and fun, playing a range of songs which everyone was happy to dance to.
Our first dance song was performed at the end of the pre reception drinks, another song we requested Monty learn being Latch by Sam Smith. Again Monty’s version of the song was amazing and heartfelt. Agreeably a hard song to sing considering the vocal range required! Thank you again for your assistance and our warmest regards and gratitude again to Monty. We will definitely book Monty again for future events.
Just wanted to let you know Monty was fantastic last night – he did such a good job! Even coordinated with our guest speaker to play instrumentals over his speech/poems which was amazing.
Emma Cameron (Corporate Function) – May 2015Monty and his band were fantastic! I couldn’t have hoped for better entertainment and received glowing feedback from all of my guests. Monty and has band had everyone (even the most hesitant of dancers) up on the dancefloor for the whole night – they took requests and were just pretty fabulous the whole night. He even appeared on the Voice the night of our function and wanted a selfie with our entire crowd to commemorate the occasion which was great.
We wouldn’t hesitate in booking him again.
Monty was amazing! Everyone absolutely loved him! He got everyone interacted and turned it into a real party!
Thank you for such a smooth, easy booking! I will definitely be recommending you again and passing your name on.
I just thought I would send a quick email to let you know how good Monty Cotton was here last night and this morning. He was one of the best we have had – very interactive with the crowd and so talented!
A very nice young man and easy to work with. We would happily have him here again! Thanks so much for putting forward such a brilliant act.
Everyone LOVED Monty, they all want him back again. I had so, so much positive feedback, it was awesome.

Alana Mathwin (Private Function) – December 2015I just want to say thank you so much. Monty Cotton was an amazing, talented singer - he performed at my 50th on Monday 25th January. Everyone enjoyed his music, he has a lovely voice and got us all up dancing. GREAT NIGHT. Thank you again.
Leanne Appleton (Private Function) – January 2016It was a great success. Everything went perfectly, the delegates loved Monty and the band. He was a true professional and considering the amount of other things I had happening was good to know he was on top of his side of things. Please pass on my appreciation.
Jessica Rice, VNCA (Corporate Function) – April 2016I was rapt in Monty he was totally awesome and would recommend him anytime

Mike Reindl (Corporate Function) – April 2017They were fantastic, crowd loved them. Really nice guy too. Thank you for the recommendation, I would certainly highly recommend them to others
Sue McLennan (Corporate Event) – June 2017I just wanted to say thanks to Monty, Adam and Vas for performing at our wedding at the Kingsford Homestead in the Barossa Valley (28th October). The guys were unreal and just made our night so special for us. We couldn’t have asked for a cooler band to come and play at our wedding, and we are still talking about how great of a time we had. I am absolutely stoked to have had Monty Cotton at our wedding; young or old, everyone loved it, they were great.
Thanks to yourself for helping to get the guys over to Adelaide and I am so glad that they accepted to come over. The guys were so professional and sounded unreal. The band were all really nice and had everyone up and dancing for hours. We’ll be hoping to see Monty perform at events in the future!
Terri and Tom (Wedding) – October 2017Jim and I would like to thank you for the amazing music and entertainment you made at our wedding last Saturday 20th January. We have had so many good reports from our guests, we just wish we could’ve been around to listen to you more. I am looking forward to getting the video so I can listen to you! Many thanks again – We will definitely use you in the future.
