Returns to MOJOS BAR with his FULL BAND

+ Tom Fisher, Christian Thompson
& special guest DJ Chet Leonard

One of Freo’s favourite sons, singer-songwriter Carus Thompson has returned home after over a decade between Melbourne & Europe. It’s also been over five years since he last performed at the place where he made his name – MOJOS in his home suburb of North Fremantle.

Before he left WA Carus regularly sold out Mojos and many a legendary gig had punters lining up down the street, eager to get in and soak up the folk-rockers danceable trademark acoustic mix of country, rock & reggae. It’s been too long and on Saturday 4 July Carus Thompson returns to this fantastic venue with his full band plus special guests.

Expect the clock to be well and truly turned back as he throws himself into the gig with all the energy & passion that his performances have become known for. A singer-songwriter he may be, but a shoe gazer he ain’t. Whilst he came to prominence with the explosion of the roots scene Carus is more Bruce Springsteen than Ben Harper.

It’s been over two years since he last played in W.A with his band so he’ll be making it count. Bring your dancing shoes!

Worldwide, Carus Thompson has sold over 30,000 albums independently and supported luminaries such as Dave Matthews, Damien Rice, Jack Johnson as well as good friends John Butler, Xavier Rudd and The Waifs.

He’s wowed audiences at all the major festivals and after five studio albums continues to hold a well-earned reputation as one of this country's hardest working and best acoustic artists.

He has the rare skill of being able to engage an audience emotionally as well as entertain; always ensuring the crowd up. He’s proud to continue the Aussie tradition of pub-rock energy, even if he’s using an acoustic guitar to do it.

See Carus live and you’ll understand why he’s one of this country's favourite live performers. This is a home town gig not to miss.

Tickets from OZTIX.
