Nearly ten years ago, The Beards formed in Adelaide with a single goal: To fight against the day to day persecution endured by bearded people everywhere.

Since then, The Beards, who exclusively perform songs about beards, have been at the forefront of a beard revolution that has seen the mighty beard restored to its former status as a symbol of strength, virility and general awesomeness.

In the process, the band has amassed a global fan-base, performed extensively throughout Australia, Europe and North America, released four full-length beard-related albums and have been nominated for two ARIA awards.

This New Year's Eve, The Beards will be bringing their extremely catchy musical propaganda to Dunsborough, Western Australia!

“We've always loved playing in WA – there's a strong beard culture over there and Western Australians really know what life's about and how to have a beard,” said frontman Johann Beardraven.
“We're looking forward to having a beard-fuelled night of beard-related entertainment as we ring in the new year in a really beard-based way.”

“New Years in Dunsborough will be all about having a fun-filled night as we celebrate the year that was with each other and with our WA friends,” said bassist Nathniel Beard.
“Having said that, I should point out that throughout the evening, a heavy emphasis will be placed on the importance of having a beard.”

If you've seen The Beards play before, you'll know they're one of Australia's most entertaining and original bands, dedicated to their cause and to providing a fun, interactive live experience.

If you're bearded, come along. If you're not bearded, grow a beard and come along. If you can't grow a beard, get yourself a fake beard and come along. If you don't like beards, come along and prepare to have every single one of your pre-conceptions shattered.
