Blake Skinner
Blake Skinner is a highly demanded WAAPA (Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts) graduate from Perth, Western Australia.
In 2008, at twelve years old, he was accepted into the specialist band program at Mazenod College as a saxophonist, which took him on a tour of New York and New Orleans in 2010. Blake was then accepted into WAAPA in 2013 to study an Advanced Diploma of Contemporary Music as a vocalist, guitarist, bass guitarist and song-writer.
Blake created his own original music at WAAPA, as well as performing beside acclaimed Australian artists, Josh Pyke and Lisa Mitchell. In numerous bands, Blake has been a part of sold out shows at renowned Perth venues such as The Astor Theatre, Crown Casino and The Ellington Jazz Club, in addition to performing on Perth radio stations, 96FM and 94.5FM. In 2014, Blake and his WAAPA peers performed on live television for Western Australia’s ‘Telethon’ charity event, and in 2015 he travelled solo throughout Europe to busk and play at local venues.
Blake currently performs numerous weddings, private functions and public shows at popular Perth bars, restaurants and wineries. Here, he continues to impress audiences with iconic renditions of songs from timeless artists such as Paul Kelly, Cat Stevens, and The Eagles. Blake’s popular reputation is a result of his ability to accommodate for a wide range of crowds through his diverse song list, in addition to his passion and dedication as a vocalist and guitarist.

Testimonials
Blake was a delightful young man, came early and set up, and was very mindful of volume and musical style. I would definitely ask him to entertain again.
We were really pleased with Blake’s performance, it made for a really memorable evening for everyone. A storm started just as he started playing and it was so atmospheric to have the live music being performed on the deck whilst the lightning lit the sky in front of us. Blake has a great voice, took requests on the night and was so friendly and personable; I couldn’t have asked for more. Thanks for your help in arranging this for us.
Blake was fabulous! Very professional, but also just a really lovely guy, who was keen to make sure everything was just right for our event. Blake made sure that he understood the type of event and the feel we wanted to create with the result that the music was the perfect backdrop. The playlist was wonderful, Blake’s singing and playing fantastic. All in all, we couldn’t have asked for anything more.
Both were fantastic! We were very happy with the choices. They fitted in really well and worked hard from the moment they arrived on both sessions. Very pleased with how they whole event event went. Thanks for your assistance and support.
