Mister A
Derek Avia has been in the music industry over 35 years performing with renowned local, national and international artists as a guitarist and backup vocalist.
Derek now performs as an acoustic solo act called Mister A playing cover interpretations from different genres, and catering to all types of musical tastes.
Mister A is a small, compact, funky and unobtrusive act that incorporates the use of a loop station covering genres from commercial classic rock, R&B, pop, funk, jazz and reggae.
Derek is also an ex-graduate from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), majoring in a Jazz performance degree on guitar, decades ago.
